The Mister Joe Show

Mr. JoeJoe Sullivan, as the “Mister Joe Show,” will be appearing at Rodman Main Auditorium on Saturday, June 10, at 2 p.m. Youngsters, as well as kids-at-heart adults, will be mesmerized with his unique blend of juggling, magic, puppetry, musical instruments, plate spinning, and balloon sculpting. His quick wit and comical patter are guaranteed to elicit smiles from everyone.

Young Wonders, Our Future

Lynnette Reiner, Science Director at the William McKinley Presidential Library & Museum, will give a program on “Young Wonders, Our Future” on Friday, Aug. 11, at 2 p.m., in the Children's Program Room. The program focuses on the serious issues facing the environment today, and how savvy kids are taking matters into their own hands. Reiner will look at a few of these kids and discuss how they made a difference.

Solar Eclipse Family Day

Join us in Rodman Auditorium on Saturday, July 8, beginning at 2 p.m., for a fun-filled family day in anticipation of the solar eclipse that will be taking place in August. First, Nancy Baker Cazan, Education Director of the Beech Creek Gardens, will give a presentation about the solar eclipse. Following her presentation, iPads with the Sky View app will be available for attendees to use in the Main Gallery. Those who want to make a pinhole camera to view the eclipse and learn how to hold it may do so at one of the three stations located in the Children’s Program Room.

Mouse Tales Storytime with Hot Pots

Children, ages 3-12, are invited to Rodman Branch Library for a Mouse Story Hour on Wednesday, May 17, at 6:30 p.m. or Saturday, May 20, at 11:00 a.m. A story will be read first at the library, then children and their guardian will proceed to Hot Pots to paint their own mouse cookie plate. A $10.00 fee will be collected for supplies on the day of the program that will be payable to Hot Pots. Snacks will be offered. Registration is required for this event and can be made by stopping in at the Branch or calling 330-821-1313.
