Thrity UmrigarThe 2014 Fogle Author Series presents its second author, Thrity Umrigar, who will speak on the rescheduled date of Saturday, Nov. 15, at 2:00 p.m., in Rodman Main Auditorium. “Umrigar is an Indian American journalist, critic, and a bestselling author of the novels Bombay Time, The Space Between Us, "First Darling of the Morning", "If Today Be Sweet", The Weight of Heaven, and "The World We Found", whose books have been translated into over fifteen languages including French, German, Arabic, Dutch and Indonesian.

Currently an Assistant Professor of Creative Writing at Case Western Reserve University, Umrigar regularly writes for the Boston Globe’s book pages, as well as writing for newspapers like the Washington Post and the Cleveland Plain Dealer. She was born and raised in Bombay, India and currently resides in Cleveland, Ohio. Umrigar practices Zoroastrianism and belongs to the Parsi community of India."

This event is free and open to the public. No registration is needed. For more information, call the main library at 330-821-2665, ext. 208. The last visiting author of the 2014 Fogle Author Series to Rodman Library will be Prof. Richard Gilbert who will speak on the rescheduled date of Saturday, Dec. 6, at 2:00 p.m. Books will be available for purchase at Rodman Main Library prior to the authors’ visits which the authors will then sign at the time of the program.
