Memories and treasures should last a lifetime and be passed on to future generations. Learn low-cost ways to preserve family archives and how to preserve scrapbooks through two webinars offered during National Preservation Week, April 27-May 3, at Rodman Public Library. They are offered in conjunction with the Association for Library Collections & Technical Services, a division of the American Library Association.
“How to Preserve Scrapbooks,” will be offered on Thursday, May 1, at 2:00 p.m. in the Children’s Program Room. Scrapbooks have been used by families and organizations for many years to save clippings, photographs, and programs. This webinar will explain some of the common problems associated with long-term preservation of scrapbooks, how to identify problem materials in older scrapbooks and what to do about them, plus how to identify the best materials to use in creating new scrapbooks.
The programs are free and open to the public. Please call Rodman Public Library at 330-821-2665, ext. 101 for further information.
