UMU's A Christmas Carol to Visit RPL

A Christmas Carol
Student thespians from Mount Union act out a scene from A Christmas Carol. Selected songs and scenes from the university’s production of the classic holiday tale will be previewed at Rodman Public Library on Saturday, Nov. 13.
 

The University of Mount Union’s Department of Performing Arts will bring selected scenes and songs from its production of Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol to Rodman Public Library’s Main Auditorium at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 13.

The event will give library patrons a chance to preview the adaption of the holiday classic, which is written and directed by by Kevin P. Kern, associate professor of theatre at Mount Union.

The full production, which will be staged in Brush Performance Hall of the Giese Center for the Performing Arts on the Mount Union campus Nov. 18-21, will feature professional actor and Alliance native Perry King as The Narrator of Dickens' masterpiece about redemption and finding the true meaning of Christmas.

There will be a raffle for two free tickets to the full production during the Rodman Library preview.
