Bookmobile scrapbook

Extension services to the greater Alliance community began with a Trailer Branch in 938. The trailer cost less than $700 with all its modifications and was pulled by the local Package Delivery Truck. It could hold approximately 1000 volumes.

The Trailer Branch was replaced in 1949 with a Bookmobile costing approximately $6,738. It was capable of carrying a collection of about 2,000 volumes. From 1960 through the '70s, Rodman Library had two active Bookmobiles.

The current Bookmobile was purchased in 2012 and replaced the vehicle that was purchased in 1985.
