Ever wanted to capture the likeness of your canine companion with pencil and paper? If so, then Rodman Public Library has the perfect opportunity when it hosts "How to Draw Realistic Dog Portraits," a summer art experience via Zoom on Monday, July 12 at 7 p.m. Participants ages 18 and older will be guided by Christine Thornton, owner and founder of Hello Art Studio, as they learn to produce a likeness of man's best friend complete with accurate proportions and shading. Artists can draw a dog using a provided photo or by using their own photo for reference. Students can provide their own materials or they can pick up a free kit at Rodman Public Library that will include all suggested supplies, including pencil, eraser, drawing paper, kneaded eraser, blending stump and darker drawing pencil. Class size is limited to 20 participants and registration is required at rodmanlibrary.evanced.info/signup or by calling 330-821-2665, ext. 107.

If you would like to participate, send your email address to nbrown@rodmanlibrary.com.  You will receive a link on how to connect via Zoom.
