Rodman Public Library is giving teens ages 12-18 the opportunity to express themselves artistically this summer. At 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 13, teens can gather outside the Main Library for a painting and tie-dye event. Attendees will take part in two forms of canvas painting, including one using squirt guns filled with paint to create their own unique design. Teens will also use a variety of tools and instruments to throw and splatter paints on a canvas in the style of Jackson Pollock. During the tie-dye portion of the program, the kids will use colored permanent markers and rubbing alcohol to create designs on an article of clothing. Those participating can bring their own article of light-colored clothing to decorate or use one of the white T-shirts provided.
