Meet Jack Weber, the community relations manager who has been at RPL since May 2021.
Here are a few things to know about Jack:
What is your favorite part about your job?
I like everything from putting together The Buzz newsletter to arranging special adult programs to filling in at the reference desk to representing the library at various events and promoting our services and resources.
Who is your favorite author?
My two favorite classic authors are Ray Bradbury and F. Scott Fitzgerald. I also think Agatha Christie was brilliant.
What is your favorite food?
My wife makes the best Swiss steak.
What was your favorite subject in school?
History and English.
Are you a fan of any pro sports teams?
Pittsburgh Steelers, Cleveland Guardians, and Wolverhampton Wanderers. (I follow Premier League Soccer)
Do you have any pets?
A dog named Willow. She is part beagle, part dachshund, and has some terrier in her, we think.
Do you have a motto you try to live by?
A good attitude will take you far.
Who is your biggest influence/inspiration?
My mom and dad were my biggest influence. My wife and son are my inspiration. They are the world to me.
What was your first car?
A silver 1984 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme.
If you could go anywhere, where would it be?
I would tour Europe, especially the UK.
