Mystery is in the air at Rodman Public Library in May.
Teens, ages 12-18, are invited to a Corporate Chaos murder mystery party from 3 to 5 p.m. on Thursday, May 11, where they will follow clues to figure out what happened to Eric Wilde, the CEO of Worldwide Prestige.
Wilde was to present the company’s yearly report at the Grand Plaza Hotel in New York City in which it would be revealed that he not only save the company from the brink of bankruptcy, but he had doubled profits from the highest profit year in the history of the company.
As employees were buzzing at the company headquarters about the upcoming meeting, it was announced that Wilde had gone missing. His personal effects were found in his desk; his car hasn’t moved in the employee garage since Friday afternoon, and not a single light is on at his home. The board believes foul play may be at hand, but the police cannot be involved. The media would throw a Doom’s Day spin on his absence, causing stocks to plummet. The show must go on and everything must appear normal, or Worldwide Prestige will be destined for disaster.
The board proceeding with the annual conference in great hope that Eric Wilde will be found in time for his presentation. In the meantime, it has appointed Jasmine Aurora to serve as the interim CEO until his return. However, there has been great strife among the employees, and with Wilde’s absence, scandals are surfacing and causing rifts between most of the staff.
Teens will play the part of one of those employees during the murder mystery program, which will feature snacks in between acts.
Teens wishing to participate in the murder mystery should register at the Reference Desk at the Main Library where they will choose their character.
