Kids are invited to take part in Rodman Public Library’s special weekly programs offered during the 2023 Summer Reading program, which runs through July 29.

Those programs include Storytime at the Branch on Tuesdays, a Play Group for children ages birth through 5 on Wednesdays, and Book Fest and Crafts on Thursdays.
There is no registration for any of these events, and they are all free and supported by Friends of Rodman Public Library.

STORYTIME AT THE BRANCH
Summertime means Storytime at Rodman Branch Library.
Each Tuesday, from June 6 through July 25, two identical Storytime sessions will be held – one at 10:30 a.m. and another at 11:30 a.m. at the Branch.
Each week will feature different stories and activities related to the 2023 Summer Reading Program theme of All Together Now.
The topics for each week are:
June 6 - Bucket Filler
June 13 - Sharing
June 20 - Teamwork
June 27 - Friendship
July 4 – Library closed
July 11 - Patience
July 18 - Let's Stay Calm
July 25 - Random Acts of Kindness
Registration is not required to attend Storytime.

PLAY GROUP
Children, ages birth through 5, have a standing play date at Rodman Public Library every Wednesday between June 14 and July 26.
On those Wednesdays, a play group will be offered from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. on inside the Rodman Main Auditorium.
Board books and toys will be available for the children to play with while coffee and tea will be offered to the adults, who will have the opportunity to socialize.
A librarian will be in attendance at all times, but a parent or caregiver must be present with his or her child.
No registration is necessary.

BOOK FEST & CRAFTS
During a six-week run of Thursdays between June 15 and July 20, Book Fest will be held at Rodman Public Library from 10:30 to 11 a.m. and will feature a different presenter each week.
Book Fest will be followed by crafts from 11 a.m. to noon. Children can stay for both activities, or attend only one and registration is not required for either.
The scheduled presenters and crafts are:
June 15 – Wildlife Officer Scott Traver (caterpillar clothespin)
June 22 – Healthy Heart Yoga (can craft)
June 29 – Alliance Garden Club (seed bomb planting)
July 6 – Staff of RPL’s Children Department (headbands)
July 13 – Huston-Brumbaugh Nature Center (bug jars)
July 20 – Field Day (hot air balloon mobile)
