Take Your Child to the Library February 4
Rodman Public Library is encouraging all caregivers to bring their little ones in for a visit on Saturday, February 4, which is Take Your Child to the Library Day.
Several literacy stations and games will be set up throughout the children’s area from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Main Library. A craft table will also be available as well as a “photo booth” where families can take pictures.
At 2 p.m., family BINGO will be played in the auditorium and children’s prizes will be awarded to the winners. Only children will be given BINGO cards.
Kids Gaming Schedule Change Announced
Due to scheduling conflicts, Kids Gaming at Rodman Public Library will have some special dates during the months of February, March, and April.
In February, the monthly program will be held Thursday, February 2. The March session will be held Thursday, March 2, and the April date is Wednesday, April 12. All Kids Gaming sessions run from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. inside the Rodman Public Library Auditorium.
Valentine Storytime with Hot Pots Set in February
The Rodman Public Library Branch will host a Valentine Storytime with Hot Pots in February.
Two sessions are planned, including one on Wednesday, February 8 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., and another on Saturday, February 11 from 11 a.m. to noon.
Alliance Vinyl Club to Meet February 1
Alliance Vinyl Club will meet at Rodman Public Library at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, February 1.
Although it is called a club, there is no formal membership and no registration is required to attend the program, which is open to all music lovers. Those attending are encouraged to bring in some of their favorite records to play for others.
RPL Plans Fall Guy Mini Game Challenge for Teens
Rodman Public Library will host a Fall Guys Mini Game Challenge for teens, ages 12-18, from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 19 at Rodman Public Library.
Kids Crafting Continues at RPL
Rodman Public Library’s monthly Kids Crafting program continues Thursday, January 12 when children, ages 6-12, are invited to come to the Main Library and make a snowman craft.
All materials used during monthly kids crafting programs are provided for free thanks to the Friends of Rodman Public Library.

Meet Melissa Weisent, who has been at RPL for 10 years, starting as a page and adding maintenance assistant six years ago to become a full-time employee. As a page, she helps return all items that have been returned to the library to their proper places on the shelves and pack and unpack SEO items. She also cleans both the Main and Branch libraries.
