Children and their family are invited to join the staff of Rodman Library’s Children’s Department on a trip to the North Pole. The run will be offered four times, including at 5:00 OR 6:00 on Monday, Dec. 12, OR at 5:00 p.m. OR 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 13.
Rodman Public Library will provide the LEGOs, teens will provide the creativity on Thursday, December 8 during a LEGO building competition.
Teens, ages 12-18, will work in teams of two to three members from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. to create a winter/holiday-themed display using a variety of LEGOs provided by the library, including LEGO Mindstorms.
Maker Monday crafters will decorate a bottle brush tree when they meet Monday, December 5 at 7:00 p.m. in Rodman Public Library’s Main Auditorium.
You’re invited to join Rodman Public Library, the Alliance High School Choralaires and Santa Claus for a holiday get together.
Christmas trees will be the theme for the next Storytime with Hot Pots at the Rodman Branch Library.
Two sessions are planned, including one on Wednesday, November 30 from 6: 30 to 7:30 p.m., and another on Saturday, December 3 from 11 a.m. to noon.
Rodman Public Library thanks voters in the Alliance and Marlington school districts for supporting the library's renewal levy at the polls on November 8. The levy passed with 67 percent of the vote.

A piece of historical fiction of an incident little remembered today is the subject of the 2023 One Book One Community selection.
Readers from the Alliance area will be familiar with the names of places found in a Robin Yocum novel.

Described as a seminal new waver, Chris Butler is a musician best known for a few hits from the 1980s, yet he is still writing and recording with many unique works to his credit.
Rodman Public Library will screen The Little Mermaid, a 2023 musical romance fantasy that is a live-action adaptation of a 1989 animated film of the same name that was based on an 1837 fairy tale.
The film is rated PG and runs 2 hours and 15 minutes.
No registration is required for the all-ages event. Children under 13 must be accompanied by a caregiver.
The Stark County Sheriff's Office will present “Firearms Safe Handling and Storage” at Rodman Public Library on Monday, October 2 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

Rodman Public Library’s Lego Lab will continue in October when builders will be tasked with creating a pumpkin.
The program, intended for children ages 6-12, will be held, October 11 from 6 to 7 p.m.
Participants will also have the opportunity to create whatever they would like using Legos provided by the library.
