Rodman Public Library recently collaborated with the City of Alliance to microfilm and digitize City Council minutes and ordinances dating from the incorporation of Alliance in 1854 through 1924. The 12,998 pages scanned are bound in large ledger books that measure up to 3” thick and 11” x 17”. They were sent to Backstage Library Works in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania in late July for microfilming and digitization.
Rodman Public Library offers mobile WiFi HotSpot units and portable chargers for patrons’ use. Twenty five HotSpots have been acquired to check out and two portable chargers for in-library use. A mobile HotSpot allows the user to have on-the-go WiFi Internet access for up to 10 devices and may be borrowed for 14 days.
Rodman Public Library's calendar of events offers direct registration for programs and classes that require it. When you register for an event, you can also request a reminder notification be sent to you via email or text message a day or two before the event. If a program is popular and there is a waiting list, the next person on the waiting list will be notified that they can attend if someone cancels.
