One Book One Community - Christina Baker Kline Virtual Visit

Alliance One Book One Community is pleased to announce that the 2020 program, featuring the novel Orphan Train by Christina Baker Kline, will conclude with a virtual visit with the author.  This event will take place on the evening of Thursday, October 1 at 7 p.m., and will be an opportunity to for readers to learn more about Kline and her New York Times best-selling novel Orphan Train.  

"Books and Coffee" Book Club

Rodman Public Library invites you to join our “Books and Coffee” Book Club. The next book club meeting will be on Thursday, July 22 at 10:30 a.m. at Rodman Branch Library. The selected title will be My Dear Hamilton by Stephanie Dray. Copies are available at the Main and Branch libraries, through the library’s catalog, or digitally through the Ohio Digital Library and Hoopla. For more information, call 330-821-1313.

Our Buildings Are Now Open

Rodman Main and Branch Libraries are now open for the following hours:
  • Monday-Wednesday 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
  • Thursday & Friday 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • Saturday 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
In the interest of keeping all visitors and library staff as safe as possible, the following restrictions have been adopted:

2020 "Virtual" Summer Art Experience

Get ready for the 2020 “Summer Art Experience” from home! Starting Monday, June 22, children ages 6-13 will be able to view six art lessons via YouTube videos taught by local art instructors. Art supplies for the lessons will be provided free of charge while supplies last, but children are encouraged to participate by using their own supplies as well. 2020 Summer Reading Program

“Imagine Your Story” is the theme of Rodman Public Library’s 2020 Adult, Teen, and Children’s Summer Reading Program.  The program is now underway and runs through Saturday, August 1. This year, participants will register and track their reading online. Drive-Thru and Reference Service at Main Library

Rodman Public Library is pleased to announce that Drive-Thru service and telephone reference service are now available at the Main Library. The times for this service are:

  • Monday-Wednesday 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. (Please note: Monday, May 25 CLOSED)
  • Thursday-Saturday 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

To use our Drive-Thru service, start by requesting library materials. You may do this by using our online catalog, https://roc.rodmanlibrary.com, or by calling the library at 330-821-2665 with a valid library card. Check our Facebook video for how these services will work.
