Rodman Public Library and the Rodman Branch Library will be closed all day on Saturday, August 12 for the Greater Alliance Carnation Parade.
Rodman Public Library’s monthly Kids Crafting program continues at 4 p.m. Thursday, August 31 when children, ages 7-12, are invited to come to the Main Library to create a rainbow sand art terrarium.

Teens, ages 12-18, will be tasked with figuring it all out when Rodman Public Library hosts a live version of the popular online multiplayer social deduction game “Among Us” from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 24.
Alliance Vinyl Club will meet at Rodman Public Library at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, August 2.
Although it is called a club, there is no formal membership and no registration is required to attend the program, which is open to all music lovers. Those attending are encouraged to bring in some of their favorite records to play a selection or two for others.
Carnations and books go hand in hand during August in Alliance.
Held in conjunction with the Greater Alliance Carnation Festival, the annual Friends of Rodman Public Library Used Book Sale – one of the largest in the area -- will run from Saturday, August 5 through Wednesday, August 9.
For more than four decades, the Friends of Rodman Public Library have been there.
Through thick and thin, the organization has provided funding for programming and equipment, supplementing Rodman Public Library.
You can make your generous donation to the Friends of Rodman Library's fund for new auditorium curtains go further, thanks to the Greater Alliance Foundation's TOGETHER FUND.
For donations of $100 or more, the GAF will add 5%.
It's that simple.
To donate by mail, checks of $100 or more should be made payable to the Greater Alliance Foundation and mailed to the Friends of Rodman Library at 215 E. Broadway St., Alliance, OH 44601. Be sure to write Friends of Rodman Public Library in the memo line.
