Rodman Public Library and the Branch Library will be closed on Tuesday, July 4 in honor of Independence Day. Both facilities will open for normal business hours, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., both the day before and the day after the holiday.
Kids are invited to take part in Rodman Public Library’s special weekly programs offered during the 2023 Summer Reading program, which runs through July 29.
Rodman Public Library is offering three very special adult programs during the month of June.

On Monday, June 19, University of Mount Union professor Michelle Collins-Sibley will discuss Juneteenth.

On Wednesday, June 22, Kent State University instructor Dalton Rininger Kline will discuss modern historic preservation.
The Rodman Public Library Bookmobile will make 19 weekly regular stops throughout the summer as it marks 85 years of mobile library service in Alliance.
Those stops include the Alliance Farmers’ Market at the northeast corner of State Street and Union Avenue from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on most Saturdays between June 24 and August 19.

The free games will be held monthly inside the Rodman Main Auditorium and prizes will be awarded to the winners.

To get the 2023 Summer Reading Program started, a portion of Rodman Public Library – the auditorium and the gallery -- will be transformed into a mini carnival from 1 to 5 p.m. on Thursday, June 1.

Alliance resident Dalton Rininger Kline, an instructor at the Kent State College of Architecture and Environmental Design, will explain just how when he presents “North Lincoln: What It Was and What It Could Have Been” inside the Rodman Public Library Auditorium on Wednesday, June 21 at 7 p.m.
